Some important information for anyone planning on attending the girls regional basketball game at Chariton on Thursday.
RE: Class 1A Region 7 District Basketball
Date: Thursday, February 9th, 2023
Congratulations! We would like to welcome you and your team to Chariton High School on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 for Class 1A Region 6 Basketball. We hope that this is a great experience for your team and your fans and community. Please see the following information below and make sure you give a copy of this to your coaches.
-Tickets must be purchased ONLINE at www.varsitybound.com or by using the app on your phone. Tickets are $6.00 for students and adults.
-The doors will be open to the public at 6:00pm. There will be no passes accepted other than those approved by the IGHSAU.
-Game time is 7:00pm.
-Melcher Dallas will be the visiting team on the scoreboard and will wear dark uniforms; Mormon Trail will be the home team and will wear white uniforms.
-There are spectator parking lots on the south side of the HS, as well as the west side of the HS. In addition to these lots, there are multiple streets that can be used for parking also.
PRE GAME SCHEDULE
6:30 (25 min. on the clock) –Teams may enter the court for warm up
6:55 (0 min. on the clock) – Player Introductions
6:58 (0 min. on the clock) – National Anthem
7:00 (0 min. on the clock) – Tip off, Melcher Dallas vs. Mormon Trail

Please remember that breakfast is served every morning (late starts excluded) in both buildings. Elementary breakfast is served from 7:45-8:05 and High School breakfast is served from 8:00-8:20.

This lovely group of young mathematicians have been an absolute joy to work with! I will miss working with them during WIN Time, but look forward to being their teacher once they get to 5th grade. 🤗

January 9th/10th Grade Award Recipients
Academics: Brody Johnson
He strives to do his best on every assignment and works hard when given class time. When Brody needs more information to complete an assignment, he asks for more clarification.
Citizenship: Hayden Branson
She is always willing to help other students and teachers when needed. Hayden goes above and beyond in making people feel welcomed.
Leadership: Jalyssa Juline
Without being asked, she is willing to work with her peers offering help during class. Her classmates look to her for guidance. She takes charge during group assignments and discussions and delegates what needs to be done.





January 11th/12th Grade Award Recipients
Academics: Azalea Murillo
She is quick to get started on every assignment and goes above and beyond what is expected.
Citizenship: Karsyn Mateer
She is always willing to help others when they need it and is kind to her peers and teachers. Karsyn makes sure everyone feels welcomed and respected.
Leadership: Logan Godfrey
He goes above and beyond to create relationships with younger teammates and classmates both on the field and in the classroom. He makes good decisions, is honest and trustworthy, and finds the fun in everything he does.
