Is your student missing their favorite hoodie, or jacket? We have quite a collection! If you feel like your student is missing something please have them stop outside the elementary office to claim their items!
Any items not claimed by February 6th will be donated.
Today Melcher-Dallas Elementary students had a successful kick-off assembly for the American Heart Association. This mission will encourage students to learn life-saving skills in hopes of creating a community of life-savers.
Huge shout out to the students who jumped into Finn’s Mission before kickoff! Their excitement to learn life-saving skills and help others is inspiring!

So proud of this amazing group of 2nd graders! 🍕📚
They earned a pizza celebration by showing incredible growth on their FAST reading screeners.
As a group of 6, they improved by 333 total words from the Fall benchmark to the Winter benchmark! Most students grew by about 50 words, and one reader made an outstanding 96-word gain! 👏
These screeners measure reading fluency—how many words students can read correctly in one minute—and the progress shown here reflects their hard work, focus, and commitment to becoming stronger readers.
Growth like this doesn’t happen by accident. Way to put in the effort and celebrate the success—you earned every bite! 💛📈
