FFA is being represented by 2 members serving as Grandstand Ushers.
Paetyn Anderson and MaeLee Gentry went up the day before the fair started for orientation.
They have the opportunity to work the Grandstand acts during the 11 days of the fair.

4-H members turn this week at the Fair.
Cole Metz placed 6th today with his pig.
Lily Schneider showed 2 pigs today receiving 6th place and blue ribbon.
Congrats to all 4-H members that had Static projects advance to state fair as well and to any other livestock exhibitors.
Day 2 at the Iowa State Fair -
Anthony Schneider placed 6th & 10th and Lane VanderLinden had 2 blue ribbons in swine.
Lane also had 1st, 2nd and 2 Reserve Champions in sheep division.
Dr. Kingrey receiving a check from the Marion County Community Foundation in the amount of $3000. A new digital piano will be purchased for the music program with this grant that will benefit all students, K-12.

Three FFA members showed today at the state fair.
Placings include Haley Schneider 2nd and 11th & Anthony Schneider 4th and 9th place - swine. Lane VanderLinden 3rd, 8th & 10th place - sheep.
Anthony will show tomorrow in swine and Lane in swine & sheep divisions.
Saint Gear is Live. Order football by August 15 and volleyball by August 28. Hopefully, football apparel will be ready by the first game!

Had a great couple days on FFA officer retreat the end of July at Sun Valley Lake.
We were able to get the 2022-23 school year planned and have some fun together.

Thursday's sports banquet for softball and baseball will be held in the elementary gym instead of at the softball field due to the heat. See you all there at 6:00!
Reminder - The Federal Meals Program that paid for student meals for the past year and a half has ended. Student meals will no longer be free of charge. Student breakfast - $2 student lunch - $2.85. The free and reduced form is available in the online registration process.
