6th grade is unique at Melcher-Dallas Elementary. We enjoy our mysterious entryway, floating candles, themed timers, and even our pet fish, Sully (whom we accuse of being dead at least once a day). As part of our shared responsibility and leadership classroom, our class chose its own name and each group chose their own team. Mrs. Winward's Harry Potter themed classroom was embraced by the students that called themselves the "Witches and Wizards of 6th Grade" with teams named "The Wiz Kidz", "The Snitches", "Voldemort's Villains", and "The Hungry Hippos." It is exciting to see this class grow and become junior high students by the end of this year. We work hard, move fast, and play often as the big kids in the building!
