Welcome to 4th Grade!
I am Mrs. Reed, the 4th grade teacher at Melcher-Dallas Elementary.
Throughout the year 4th graders do some pretty amazing things.
Including reading 147 words in a minute, complete research essays, learn to multiply fractions, and find the area and perimeter of rectangles and squares.
We also go to the Knoxville Race Track for Ag Day, and even have the PellaCorp Engineers show us simple machines.
This year, the 4th graders started the year off strong by learning how their body and brain reacts to strong emotions. We use a 'mood monitor' to think about our thoughts, feelings and emotions.
So when you see one the awesome, responsible 4th graders make sure to ask them about all the amazing things they do at school!
