Sophomore Hailee Carver has been a part of the Air Lanes youth bowling league in Des Moines for almost two years. Carver always had the passion for bowling, and in 2023 she was finally convinced to join a league.
Not only did joining a youth bowling league improve Carver’s bowling skills but she learned more things about herself in the process. “I’ve gotten better at bowling and just better at dealing with my emotions and how they affect bowling,” Carver said.
Her youth bowling team lets members join at the age of 12 years old. When members turn 18 they have to join an adult bowling league.
Carver received a plaque and a bowling medal on April 26. Her top scoring game in the 2024-2025 bowling season was 153; she hopes to continue playing next year.
