On October 16th, Melcher-Dallas eighth graders got a firsthand look at college programs and career possibilities during Career Day at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa.
Students signed up for three college majors and rotated in groups to preview what the college offers in those subjects. Their experiences included visiting the automotive shops, learning about aviation, and exploring other areas of study.
The visit gave students an opportunity to discover a range of programs and consider where their interests might lead. Each student also received a shirt to remember the day.
