Saints take on the Sabers for Homecoming
by Reece Chiabotta and Drew Heaberlin
The Saints will battle the Sabers under the lights for the Traveling Trophy for Homecoming.
The Melcher-Dallas Saints will play against Twin Cedars for the 34th consecutive year playing since 1990.
Brody Johnson said “they run a 3 stack of wide receivers on the right side and they need to watch for that.”
The Saints have won more games with the record being 11-5 since 2007. Every year they play for the Traveling Trophy.
All the players believe Homecoming means a lot but what is more important is they are playing TC. They all felt bad about losing the trophy last year and are looking to make up for it this year.
Ryan Heaton said he wanted the trophy back for the seniors.
The team thinks that TC will have a few trick plays up their sleeve that they will run.
They have been focused in practice and have been running a lot to stay in condition for the last minutes of the game.
The game starts at 7:00pm at the football field in Melcher-Dallas. Come support the Saints for Homecoming!
